Will Edgar is a multidisciplinary artist based in Melbourne/Naarm, Australia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Photography from RMIT University in 2020. His photography has been featured in Vogue Australia, Rolling Stone Australia, Sicky Magazine (EU) and Artist Profile Magazine. Shooting with analog cameras and using only natural light, his approach to photography is uncomplicated and instinctive. Themes of masculinity, place, connection and queer identity are common in his work.
He has directed music videos for artists such as Bec Sandridge and Kiri, as well as writing and directing his own short films. He also writes songs. His EP 'First Songs' was released in 2024 with radio play from PBS. His music can be found here.
His photo series Beach Boys was included in the exhibition 'HERE + NOW: A Decolonist Visualisation Of The Illawarra' at Wollongong Art Gallery in 2020 and Reflection: Works from the Collection in 2023. In 2025, Beach Boys was seen alongside work from William Yang and Tracey Moffatt in the exhibition 'In Essence' at Wollongong Art Gallery.
